About Winderberry Nursery
We are a family-owned and -operated business providing both commercial and retail customers with innovative plant material and design. Winderberry is one of the largest independent garden centres in the Windermere Valley. We are stewards of the horticultural industry, trying to be as mindful as possible about our environment and health of our community. In 41 years of business, we have never used a chemical herbicide or pesticide on our property, nor have we promoted or sold such products.
We grow flowers to captivate your senses, whether in planters, baskets, vases or your garden. (We can even decorate your home or wedding with our beautiful cut flowers and bouquets!) We have more than 100 different varieties of annual flowers that we start from seed, including our signature, non-stop Begonias. Each spring, we bring in a large variety of zone-appropriate perennials and we can help you design and choose the right plant material for your gardens.
Starting in mid-April, we are well stocked with hardy trees, shrubs, evergreens and fruit trees that have been carefully selected for our growing conditions here in the Columbia Valley. And we have always been strong promoters of soil health and quality; we have lots of advice on how to improve local soil conditions.
In keeping with our philosophy of sustainable growing practices, we provide our customers with further options for safer, more environmentally friendly products, including organic seeds, fertilizers, manures and natural biological controls.
